Work Experience

Technip Energies, Mechanical Engineering Intern, 2023 – Worked as a member BioMEG team where we were developing a pilot plant to turn glucose into Ethylene Glycol.

During my Internship I installed a wet test meter and gas sample tube to measure the contents and volume leaving the BioMEG pilot plant, and led the beginning stages of the scale up of the Ethylene Glycol pilot plant by disassembling the pre-existing structure. After my first experience in the BioMEG feed prep I improved upon the design by installing a motor on the sugar addition system and make the hopper design more robust. I was also in charge of continuing the installation of the facilities new Hydrogen Electolyzer system.

Lowes, Retail Cashier, 2022 – Worked as a member of the retail team solving customer issues and ensuring positive experiences at the store.

After my first year of college, I decided to expand my abilities, so I spent the summer developing my interpersonal skills as a cashier at Lowes. I worked with a great team of people to help maintain customer satisfaction, from helping costumers find products, to loading vehicles.

University of Maine Orono, 3D Printing Lab Technician, 2021-2022 Repaired and maintained several different types of 3D printers and resin printers.

I first used a 3D printer in FIRST Robotics to visualize and prototype different components for the robot. I enjoyed the experience so much that I invested in a 3D printer and a resin printer to continue to learn and design. When we were faced with the COVID-19 Pandemic, I worked with members of my robotics team to support first responders by 3D printing mask tensioners and face shields. This experience led me to participating in my college's 3D Printing Club, where I had the opportunity to learn and further develop my skills. I eventually became a lab technician, where I prepared prints for manufacturing and fixed the printers as they went out of service.

Sencorp White, Manufacturing Intern, 2021Fabricated and welded steel door frames, press mounts, and other components for thermoformers and horizontal carousel assemblies.

As a manufacturing intern I utilized both MIG and TIG welding processes and became familiar with many other industrial machine shop processes. Additionally, some of my time was spent in the Engineering Department working with SolidWorks and their Product Database Management (PDM) system to create new parts to expand their fastener library.
