Snowblower Hitch Carrier
Built In: 2023
Purpose: This carrier was designed to improve the safety and ease of transporting heavy snowblowers. The need for this system arose after my grandfather injured himself while attempting to load his snowblower onto the bed of his pickup truck using a set of wooden ramps. This injury influenced the design, leading to durable steel ramps with a high weight capacity, anti-slip surfaces for enhanced stability, and guards on the sides and end to prevent accidental falls. Additionally, the design features a much lower mounting system, attaching to the trailer hitch rather than the bed, making it safer and more accessible to operate."
Entertainment Center
Built In: 2022
Purpose: This entertainment center marks the second major project in our basement renovations. It involved converting old cabinets and chaotic wiring into a sleek set of cabinets that match the bar while concealing all the wires. The project required extensive electrical work to power the various devices housed within the cabinet.
Projects while working at SencorpWhite
Built In: 2021
Purpose: While employed at SencorpWhite, I was responsible for the fabrication and welding of steel door frames, press mounts, and various components for thermoformers and horizontal carousel assemblies. Examples of this work are shown above, where I utilized both MIG and TIG welding techniques and gained experience with additional industrial machine shop processes.
Family Firepit
Built In: 2020
Purpose: During the pandemic, I designed and fabricated a four-foot diameter stainless steel firepit as a gift for my grandparents. I collaborated with the local high school to have the components precision-cut using a CNC plasma cutter. Using the CAD model I developed, I carefully welded the pieces together, ensuring both structural integrity and a clean, polished finish.
Full Bar
Built In: 2020
Purpose: During the pandemic, we decided to finish the basement, starting with the construction of a bar that spans the full length of the wall. This was our first major project, which included installing plumbing for a new sink and running a dedicated electrical circuit to power the space.
Sorting Tables for Boy Scout Troop 6
Built In: 2020
Purpose: During the pandemic, the closure of bottle redemption centers led people to find alternative methods of offloading their refundable bottles. As a result, the local scout troop experienced a significant increase in the volume of bottles they needed to process. To help manage this surge, I designed and built a table-mounted system for sorting and handling bottles, replacing their previous method of using kiddie pools. The system mounts to a standard six-foot table and enabled the troop to efficiently keep up with the increased supply.
